Try it. Click Buy now on this example shop.

Interactive example with a fictional shop. In the real extension this runs on the shops you choose.

Three steps. Your rules.

1

Choose your rule

At a calm moment: your shops, a cooling-off period of 24, 48 or 72 hours and the amount from which Pact steps in. Change it whenever you like.

2

Pause at the moment of purchase

Click add to cart or checkout and Pact shows your own rule. Save the product to your waitlist, or consciously choose "This is planned, continue".

3

Decide with distance

After the wait the choice is yours: buy, keep it longer or release. Link released amounts to a personal goal such as a holiday.

Calm on the surface. Honest underneath.

Your waitlist, your goal and quiet milestones for what you did or confirmed. These are real screens from the extension, shown with example data.

Your goal and milestones, nothing resets
Measured honestly

A saved product is not a saving.

So Pact only counts what you confirm yourself: how many intents you reviewed again, how long you waited and which amounts you confirm as not purchased.

Planned

Nothing after 9 pm

A simple time rule for late-night impulses. Not open yet.

Quiet milestones. A ranking if you want one.

Pact shows milestones for what you did or confirmed, and they never reset. Challenges have a ranking, but only if you choose to join it publicly.

The ranking counts days kept. It never shows money, products or shops.

What Pact will never do.

Sell your data

Pact does not sell browsing data or purchase intents, and shows no advertising based on what tempts you.

Take money from shops

Shops cannot pay to bypass your rules. Pact earns nothing when you buy more.

Shame you

No guilt and no judgement of individual purchases. A ranking is optional and shows days kept, never money or shops.

Trap you in a subscription

Clear prices, a reminder before any renewal, and simple cancellation online.

What Pact does and does not see

Does see

Only the shops you add: the product page, title and price at the moment you click buy, and what you decide afterwards.

Does not see

Your browsing history, other sites, payment details or form contents. In the extension everything is stored locally in your browser. This website uses no tracking cookies, no analytics and no external fonts. One login cookie is set only after you sign in.

Good questions.

Does Pact block shops?

No. Pact shows a pause at the moment of purchase. You keep the choice and can switch Pact off at any time or choose a one-time exception.

Does it work on every online shop?

Pact recognises buy buttons by their text and attributes, in many languages. Not every shop works right away. You can report shops that do not work.

Is Pact a budgeting app or financial advice?

No. Pact does not connect to your bank and does not give financial advice. It helps you carry out your own buying rules.

Does Pact replace help for compulsive buying?

No. Pact is not a treatment or support service. If you feel you are losing control over your spending, please seek help from a qualified professional.

Which browsers are supported?

The extension runs in Chrome and other Chromium browsers such as Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.

What happens to my data?

The extension keeps your rules and waitlist locally in your browser. For your account we store your email address, your settings and your challenge progress. You can export or delete them yourself in your portal at any time. Read the privacy policy.

What does Pact cost?

Pact for Life is a one-time purchase for the first 50 members. After that you choose Pact Personal (up to 10 websites) or Pact Pro (unlimited websites), both as a subscription you can cancel online. See the plan terms.

What if I want more than 10 websites?

With Pact for Life there is no limit. With Pact Personal you can upgrade to Pact Pro in your portal. Pact asks you at the moment you add the eleventh website. Your settings and challenges stay as they are.

Is the challenge ranking public?

Only if you choose so. For every challenge you decide between private and public. Public shows a display name you pick, your days kept and your rank. Never your email, money, products or shops.

More space between impulse and decision.
